EU Creative AI Community Leader | Technical Designer

Aleksandar Bajic is a designer based in London with a First Class Master’s degree and a RIBA Silver Medal nomination. He works in Gensler’s Building Transformation studio, where his focus spans adaptive reuse, digital workflows, and sustainable innovation. As a Regional Creative AI Leader and Design Technology Champion, he contributes to firm-wide research into how AI can accelerate low-carbon design strategies and support resilient, reuse-focused workflows.

His work was exhibited at the 2025 Venice Biennale, showcasing Water Filled Glass: a speculative facade system designed for future climate resilience. Aleksandar is also a contributor to a RIBA publication titled Image Generation, contributing a chapter on the environmental impact of digital infrastructure and design-led responses to the carbon impact of critical facilities.

Supported by his practice, he’s led cross-disciplinary workshops on AI and architecture, including a 150-student collaboration with Henley Business School. His approach is grounded in critical thinking, systems-level design, and a belief in architecture’s role in shaping a more circular, intelligent built environment.

Aleksandar was awarded BCO Graduate of the Year 2025, with the judges being exceptionally impressed by his contributions to the Venice Biennale and RIBA publication whilst driving innovation and sustainability at Gensler.
